Houses in Natal Charts Astrology

Today we are discussing what a horoscope chart basically is.
So, your natal chart is the screenshot of the sky at the time you were born. There are also various type of charts based on age and houses but to understand all of that, you need to understand this basic concept of what a chart is! Before you read own your chart there are some factors about houses that you need to understand.

There are 12 houses in both, Western and Indian astrology. No matter what chart you are reading you always superimpose the universal chart for a clearer understanding of the chart. However, there are some fundamental differences in how the interplay of these houses and planets is understood.

The Universal 12 Houses
There's a universal 12-house structure, starting with the first house in Aries on to twelfth house in Pisces. Each house has the attributes of its sign. Also the ruling planet of the sign becomes the lord of that house. For example, Aries is ruled by Mars so Mars becomes the Lord of the first house. The elements that rule these signs also become the elements of the house, such as Aries is a fire element so the first house has qualities of the fire element.

Below is the basic outline of what each house denotes:
The First House denotes the Self, the individual, the ego.
The Second House denotes the immediate family and the physical house.
The Third House denotes siblings, friends and neighborhood.
The Fourth House denotes the Mother, the maternal figures in your life and your motherland.
The Fifth House is for things you create, your children, your art and anything that you made yourself.
The Sixth House is the House of your health, it is about your routines, it also denotes your enemy.
The Seventh house sits across the first house and means the opposite of what first house stands for. It denotes your spouse, and the society. It also denotes any business you own.
The Eighth House denotes your married life and your sex life. It also denotes occult knowledge and clandestine affairs whether political or individual.
The Ninth House denotes your teachers, your father as a teacher and your personal brand of spirituality, including atheism.
The Tenth House is the house of your occupation, your career and your bosses. It denotes your father as your financial authority. Father in the ninth house is the spiritual teacher and the one in the tenth is his role as a breadwinner and it really plays out differently depending on many factors.
The Eleventh House denotes your social reputation, your community and your friend circle made through your reputation. Meaning, it is the house that denotes how popular or unpopular you will be.
The Twelfth House is the house of mortality and death, not physical death but where things come to an end. It denotes solitude, closed spaces, or places that are under restrictions, hence it denotes hospitals, mental institutions and jails.

Each house also denotes a body part and parts of the psyche, which will be discussed in the separate video for each houses. You will find the link in the description. That is it for now! If you liked this video, let me know in the comments. Also like, subscribe and share this video. See you soon.
